Who am I?
I run Chandeliers To Die For, a chandelier hire business in Sydney. If you've been to a gala dinner or a wedding and looked up, there's a fair chance you were standing under something of ours. I'm also building a startup on the side. Outside of work I'm usually on one of my motorcycles, out on a hike, or travelling. I like building and fixing things, so a lot of my downtime goes on pulling the bike apart and hoping it goes back together. Hiking is the one I really love, so the 1am start for Batur is the part of the week I'm most looking forward to. Happy to talk business for hours, and usually more interested in other people's problems than my own.
My Business
Two of them. 1) Chandeliers To Die For. We hire and create chandeliers and bespoke ceiling installations for the high end events world: gala dinners, weddings, and film and movie sets. It's a strange thing to have built a business around, and I love it. 2) The Artificial Organisation, a new startup I'm investing in and building. Why? Running a business is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. My brain genuinely doesn't see anything else. I just want to be a business guy and spend my life figuring out how to navigate the world of business.
